Central Forest
Spine (CFS)

The Central Forest Spine (CFS) is a combination of forest complexes consisting of Permanent Forest Reserves, Government Land Forests, National Parks, State Parks and Wildlife Reserves and some agricultural land and built-up saturated areas that form the backbone of Environmentally Sensitive Areas (KSAS) ) in Peninsular Malaysia.

FOREST COMPLEX IN CFS

The CFS area has various species of flora and fauna, including being a habitat and wilderness area for wildlife, acting as a catchment forest area to supply sources of raw water and oxygen, control soil erosion and natural disasters, stabilize the temperature on the earth's surface and balance the ecosystem, further safeguarding the importance of preservation of biological diversity as a universal natural heritage. These highly valuable natural resources need to be maintained and preserved to ensure the sustainability and well-being of the universe as a whole.
